Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends featured interviews with Kurt Vonnegut and George Plimpton, just to name a few. It was based on a book by Remar Sutton and Mary Abbot Waite and was hosted by Academy-award winner Cliff Robertson.(Your producer is the one on the left, many pounds and gray hairs ago.) Porches

In 1999, Verb productions released it's first public radio series, Porches: The South and Her Writers. I drove around the south for 2 years, interviewing authors, scholars, editors and journalists in an attempt to figure out what made a capital S Southern Author. After about 40 interviews, I still can't tell you, but would point you in the direction of Lewis Nordan's definition, heard in program eight. Click for the programs...

The Spoken Word

This syndicated series ran for five years. We recorded book events nationwide and broadcast the program on forty stations around the country. We also had a nifty segment called "handselling on the radio" where we got suggestions from booksellers around the country, and Tom Bell came in weekly to talk about booksense picks. It ran from 2001 to 2007. I promise to load up some of these eventually.

City Cafe with John Lemley

Due to absolutely no demand, I returned to WABE for a segment with John Lemley. I head in weekly to discuss what's happening on the book front around Atlanta. More...
