Calendars
I really love how Google calendar works. You can subscribe, and the events in the calendar get pushed to your Outlook, Entourage, or iCal application. You can embed them and change the view on your own site, and like all Google Apps, many users can collaborate on them. You can click on each event for full info, but the display itself can be compact and straight forward.
I think Decatur needs to have a central one where all the cool things in town are listed, and I might try to make that happen if I can.
On this page, you'll find the expanded view of our book calendar, but I'll also add calendars that might be of interest. You can easily manipulate the view to show it as a weekly, or monthly display using the tabs in the top right hand corner of each calendar. Scroll to the bottomof the page and you'll see a composite of all the featured calendars which is just too packed with events to make sense of. Who says there isn't anything going on around town?
The Atlanta Book Event Calendar
Our crack staff at Verb maintains this calendar. Let me know if you know of something that should be added at Daren@verb.org. Time, place and detailed descriptions for most events can be found just by clicking the listed event.

New Classes starting in February on the Agnes Scott Campus.
